The Google Nexus 4 was announced on October 29, 2012: its specs were revealed, Android 4.2 was outlined and the reaction was overwhelmingly positive. Until, manhub that is, a moment in the press conference that left everyone dumbfounded, manhub double-taking, even in doubt - its price reveal. Fast forward to the present, and the Nexus 4 remains manhub a solid choice for anyone looking to pick up a new Android handset - and it's just been updated manhub to Android 4.4, the latest version of the OS . The shape is Nexus. Rounded corners, curved top and bottom, soft, but still strong. It brings a slight hint of industrial to the table thanks manhub to the unconcealed screws at the base. Dimensions are very manageable for a large screened flagship. 133.9 tall, 68.7 wide and 9.1 mm thin, it s less surface area heavy than the Samsung Galaxy S3 for example though a touch thicker.
The left side is where you ll find the chrome volume rocker and a micro SIM tray. At the base is a microUSB port, to the right is a power button and on the top a 3.5mm headphone jack. The fascia is buttonless and free from detailing, aside from the 1.3-megapixel front facing camera and subtle, barely visible sensors. The back houses the rear-facing manhub 8-megapixel camera and LED flash.
The back is also where you ll find the Nexus 4 s personality. We didn t get on with it on first sight. The checkerboard mirrored pattern beneath the glass seemed a little self-indulgent and dare we say, reminded us of a black marbled work surface circa 1998. Having seen and used it more though, manhub the pattern, and more to the point, the whole package has grown on us.
The Nexus logo for example is positioned so that it shows extremely clearly manhub when being used, just above the arc in between the thumb and forefinger. The speckled, glistening back draws attention to it perfectly and elevates the plastic top and sides to a point of premium.
As lush as the phone looks, you'll invariably end up clothing it in a protective case - having glass on the front and back of the device means that any accidental drops are likely cause twice the amount of shattering. We also noticed manhub that the back panel is prone to picking up scratches.
When manhub using the Nexus as a camera, these flat, grippy sides provide it the perfect shape with which to hold the phone. The new Android 4.2 camera manhub UI which we ll come onto makes full functionality usable manhub one-handed when coupled with its comfortable body - something we can t say of any other Android phone on market.
Do not drop this handset though! I ve had my Nexus 4 since launch, manhub and boy is this thing fragile. About a month ago it slid off my coffee table and fell all of about 14-inches onto the wooden floor below. And as you can see below, the results weren t pretty:
It was a minor fumble, and I certainly manhub didn t expect to find a bloody great big crack in the handset s front panel. But I did and I m not alone. Plenty manhub of reviewers have flagged this issue already but I had no idea the Nexus 4 was this flimsy.
To avoid a similar fate we d strongly recommend getting a protective case. There s plenty of choice out there, eBay and Amazon are a great place to start, and a lot of them are actually pretty fetching, complimenting manhub the Nexus 4 s overall design and finish.
I ve been using Spigen s Ultra Thin case for the past couple of months. It s unobtrusive, doesn t add much additional bulk and should, in the event you drop your phone, ensure it doesn t smash into a million pieces. HD displays don t come cheap, well, they didn t until now. The Google Nexus 4 by LG pulls off IPS technology with an HD resolution of 768x1280 pixels. With its 318 PPI, that s spec-wise alone, extremely respectable. What s even more impressive is seeing it in the flesh.
Pixel manhub density is better than that of the Samsung Galaxy S3. Visually it s ever so slightly less eye-popping and superficial than the HTC One X though manhub about on par with the LG Optimus 4X if not a touch richer.
Viewing angles are strong manhub and outdoors, everything manhub looks very good indeed. The colour calibration delivers a very slight purple hue though this won t detract from the overall user experience per se; the overall experience is pleasing, although we missed the punch of an AMOLED panel, if we're honest. Looks great! This will give me even more motivation to finally finish up the Far Cry 2 platinum! I’ve been slowly plodding away at the FC2 multiplayer trophies for 2 years now, and haven’t even gotten to FC3. And then you brought out the original FC on PS3 not too long ago! So much work to do and not enough time….
I put about a hundred hours into FC3 mostly video2mp3 sneaking around with my bow and killing dudes, I can’t wait for this! So glad its coming this year!

Ooooookay, today is really a strange date to announce it. This come out of nowhere… I hope to see something good at E3, cause I liked the FC3 and Blood Dragon, but since there are no images or gameplay footages at the moment it is just a name and says nothing to me. Sorry not hyped.
Still need to finish FarCry 3 which is embarrassing all by itself. Such a great game! I am excited to know this will be out in 2014! Really wish they would leave the PS3 behind and make this a next gen only experience, oh well. Thanks for the great news, can’t wait to play!
Ugh… why is it that a year after the PS4′s launch, PS4 owners still have to suffer from cross-gen multi-plats? Far Cry 3 is one of the best games I played last generation, and it sucks that we’re (PS4 owners) still having to compromise our experiences like this. AC4 is a pretty game, but I can’t help but notice that it just looks like a PS3 game with more detailed textures, which is exactly what it is, and exactly what we’re going to get with Far Cry 4. I know my comment won’t be popular with PS3 owners, as this is a major score for them (I still own a PS3 with over 90 games, btw), but PS4 players want true next-gen games that show us how amazing the PS4 is compred to last-gen hardware.
PS3 Day 1 Digital? If so, then it will be a day 1 buy for me. Can’t buy retail copies anymore because my PS3 disc drive broke about 1 year ago. ;(

Samsung has announced a new tablet aimed at the education market. The Galaxy Tab 4 Education is a 10.1” WXGA (1280x800) device built with a ruggedized chassis wreck it ralph and designed to work with Google Play for Education.
Samsung is hoping that the tablet features and price appeal to those doing purchasing for school divisions. The Android 4.4 device wreck it ralph is equipped with a 1.2 GHz quad core processor (actual model number unknown), wreck it ralph 1.5 GB of memory, and 16 GB of storage. Battery life from the 6800 mAH battery is rated at 10 hours for the 1.08 lb tablet.
The specifications are decidedly low end by any modern definition, but the goal of this device isn’t ultimate performance, but a rugged durable device with a price a school district can afford.
The tablet will be compatible with a future upgrade of Samsung School – an interactive wreck it ralph classroom management solution – and for an additional $30 per device, the Google Apps for Education web console can be used to manage the device.

The feedback loop created with an electronic device is by all means much faster than pen and paper, though I will say that based on studies done with kids in the developed world, kids from Finland do alot better than our kids here and they don't use electronic devices in the classroom. Of course they do have other things going for them, like teachers who are treaded decently (not saying all teachers deserve this, there are some bad ones in the system wreck it ralph that should be thrown out). In the end there are positives and negatives to both. Reply

If a school could eliminate a book or two or save $10 to $20 per book that a tablet could pay for itself after a couple years. Assuming the kids didn't trash them. There is no reason to assume that kids parents wouldn't be responsible for a broken tablet. This, however is a big sticking point of a tab... durability. The Good The PlayStation 4 serves up dazzling graphics, runs on a simplified and logical interface, and boasts a fantastic controller. It's $100 cheaper than rival Xbox One and has the upper hand on indie and digital-only zuma games. It also doubles as a great Blu-ray player and has plenty of streaming entertainment apps.
The Bad There are few must-buy triple-A zuma titles in these early days, and existing PS3 games aren't compatible. The PS4 lacks the robust DLNA compatibility or media playback support which made its predecessor such a great all-around content player. And the promising PlayStation Now and streaming TV services won't be available until later this year.

The Sony console has the edge on value -- it delivers a better value. zuma And some recently announced gaming and entertainment features due later this year have the potential to make the investment in a PS4 pay off in 2015 and beyond. zuma
The affordability appeal is twofold. The PS4 is available for $100 less than the Xbox One -- $399 versus $499 for the Microsoft console -- so you're saving money right off the bat. But the Xbox One also requires one to maintain an Xbox Live Gold account to do nearly anything interesting , right down to watching Netflix. By contrast, Sony's PlayStation Plus online service zuma ($50/year) is required only to play online multiplayer games -- and that membership includes access to several downloadable digital games, available at no extra charge.
Meanwhile, zuma Sony announced two big PlayStation initiatives in January: PlayStation Now and a Sony online TV service, both due before zuma the end of year. PlayStation Now aims to deliver real-time game streaming to the the PS4 and other Sony game consoles. Details are more vague on the online TV service, but it looks to be a cable-like video streaming app -- think Netflix or Hulu, but with live TV channels.
To be sure, game lineups on the PS4 and Xbox One are both still small, but they'll continue to expand as months and years progress. And if there's a must-have title on your list that's exclusive to one platform or the other -- well, that pretty much makes the decision easy.
We're not ready to count the Xbox One out by a longshot -- it's still an ambitious console zuma with a lot to offer. As always, a software update or two could totally shift the balance of power. (And the Xbox has two such updates on deck for February and March.)
Here's why. Editors' note (February 6, 2014): This review was originally published on November 13, 2013, and has been updated from its earlier version with additional impressions of the PS4 and Xbox One (now that we've lived with them for more than two months), along with more information on what to expect from the console in 2014 based on Sony's announcements at CES.
What's in the box Included inside every PlayStation 4 box is the console, power cord, a 6-foot HDMI cable (finally!), a DualShock 4 controller, a Micro-USB cable (to charge the DualShock 4), and a monoaural earbud zuma for online chat. (The earbud plugs directly into the DualShock controller; you can alternately use any pair of headphones with a standard 3.5mm plug.)
Unlike the PlayStation 3, the PS4 won't be sold in multiple zuma configurations: There's only one version, a 500GB model that retails for $400. This is $100 less than an Xbox One, though the latter ships with its camera and voice/motion-sensing peripheral, Kinect, in the box. It'll cost you $60 extra to pick up the PlayStation Camera for the PS4 -- which I'll get to a little later. That model provides some of the same features as the Kinect, but it's less sophisticated than Microsoft's, and isn't as tightly integrated into the system.
For early adopters, Sony is also throwing zuma in a free month of PlayStation Network Plus and a free month of the Sony Music Unlimited music-streaming service, as well as a $10 credit for the PlayStation Store. Current free PS4 downloadable games for PlayStation Plus include Resogun and Contrast -- though the list of included games continues to grow each month. (Owners of some PS3 titles can upgrade to the PS4 version for just $10 each, for a limited time.)
The hardware Despite its smallish size -- at least compared with an Xbox One -- the PS4 packs a lot of power under the hood. The box is 2 inches high by 11 inches wide by 12 inches deep, weighs about 9 pounds, and packs in 8GB of DDR5 RAM. The CPU is a low-power x86-64 "Jaguar" eight-core chip, and the graphics are powered by a 1.84 TFLOP AMD Radeon "next engine." The fine print may not impress the layperson, but suffice it to say, the PS4's innards are in line with a mid- to high-end gaming PC.
Like previous PlayStations before it, the PS4's 500GB hard-disk drive is user replaceable (a standard SATA laptop hard drive or SSD will work), something I'm thrilled Sony has decided to keep intact. That 500GB may seem like more

The switch in location marks a drastic change for the adventure series, which is usually more associated with sandy, halo 4 tropical locales. But it will also pave the way for some new features - such as the ability to saddle up and ride elephants, people familiar with the project told Eurogamer.
Our first official glimpse at Far Cry 4 will come much sooner, however - the title is set to be shown off in some form during Ubisoft's annual press conference at E3 in June, one source said. Far Cry 4's gameplay will remain similar to that in Far Cry 3 - presumably including a large focus on hunting local fauna. The world's map will be structured in a familiar fashion too, a separate source said, with outposts for you to liberate.
Far Cry 3 launched in November 2012 and was followed by the excellent retro spin-off Blood Dragon around six months later - suggesting that, when finished, Far Cry 4 will have had around two years of development time.
Ubisoft's E3 2014 press conference halo 4 will also host other surprises - the publisher is apparently looking to build on the positive reception of reveals such as Watch Dogs at E3 2012 and Tom Clancy's The Division last year.

This ended up taking longer than I had planned and was a lot more work than I envisaged. I’m sofia plus glad I attempted a long-form sofia plus story, but I don’t see myself doing it again anytime soon. I’m too spoilt with the Zen Pencils format of being able to change styles and subject matter with each new shorter comic.
The theme of internet trolls has been on my mind for awhile now. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, comment boards … is it just me or is the internet being suffocated sofia plus by negativity and hate? Not necessarily directed at my work but just in general. Maybe I’m visiting the wrong sites but everybody thinks they’re an expert and can’t wait to tell you you’re wrong, or something sucks and why the hell did that person even bother trying?
It’s time to choose a side. Are you on the side who takes the easy option? The troll. The armchair critic slinging snarky quips behind the safety of a keyboard. Firing sarcastic bullets at those in the trenches. Or are you a creator? Someone who makes something. Someone who lets themselves be vulnerable in front of an audience, who contributes something new and hopeful to an increasingly dark and depressing world. Choose. Which side are you on?
And listen, I know my work ain’t the greatest thing since sliced bread. sofia plus I’m relatively new at being a professional cartoonist and I’m sure Zen Pencils isn’t for everyone. But I’m all in – 110%. I’m going to continue to learn and (hopefully) improve and I’m extremely lucky to have a loyal group of fans who have supported and encouraged me every step of the way.

Epic Games can crow all it wants about how easy its next-gen development toolset is to use, but until we actually see results, those words are pretty hollow. That changes today with the release of Tappy Chicken, the first Unreal Engine 4 game released for Android, HTML5 browsers and iOS. Yeah, it's a far cry from the fiery demon we've come to associate with anything vuclip UE4-related (and it looks more than a little bit like another flying fowl ), but the key here is that Epic says it's the work of exactly one person using a sort of simplified scripting system called Blueprints . What's more, the developer isn't even a coder -- he's an artist by the name of Shane Caudle. Caudle designed the game-play loop for the procedurally-generated game in an evening and spent around a week on the menus and squashing bugs. Epic says that it could even be ported to consoles pretty easily. The reason for the free game? To show how easy it is to mod and add-on with UE4 even by someone who doesn't know a lick of typical programming languages like C++. If you want to give it a go for yourself, all it takes to start is $19 .

Any modern browser can run asm.js content, but specific optimizations currently present only in Firefox, ensure the most consistent u tube and smooth u tube experience.
