Wanting an alternative to Photoshop (something smaller and faster, with more convenient tools), I tried Photoscape. Although it has a lot of nice features, I won't stick with it. The interface is the problem. It is not so intuitive, IMHO, and lacks many common interface features. For example, it has no File Menu bar! I hate that. Second, there are very few user-manageable settings (such as startup directory for the viewer, default save path, etc.). If you open a picture in the editor, there isn't any way to "close" it. There is no way to find the open file in the viewer window. You get no context menu when you right-click on the picture in the editor. However, I will say I was surprised at how fast the viewer displays thumbnails of a directory. rede globo This is nice. It is also nice to have all those tools handy in one package. I wish XnView had the editor! All in all, I find the interface clumsy and lacking. I probably won't use this program. As I was looking for some new things in Snapfiles, I ran across Photoscape and cannot believe I didn't rate this, been using it so long I simply forgot? At least that's my excuse. After all this time, I still can't say enough about it and will try to sum up what this is... Advanced, harder rede globo to use graphics editor? no. Very simple, basic filter rede globo and image editor rede globo and handler? no. What it is... An all around excellent application that handles screenshots, photo albums, has numerous cool filters rede globo for effects, image enhancement, rede globo batch edit, viewer, the list goes on and on. For all the things rede globo this boasts, it's not hard to use whatsoever and takes little time to get used to. Quite honestly, rede globo I could fill two pages trying to say what this does. Sure, you may still have some favorites, like I use PicPick for capture and not Photoscape's capture tool but it's there if you need it. I do use the color picker quite often. rede globo I began using another manager with watermarking capability but it doesn't hurt to have more than one option with most softwares. 2trpplayer79 Hello. I use Sandboxie to test applications for portabillity. This app is writing several files in the folders you are viewing. I hate that behaviour. So, i disabled the option to create kesha a cache database. Further it writes a file in the folder local settings/application data. The settings are stored in the application folder and not in the registry. I will take a closer look at the application itself, but it seems useful, although i don't like that it wants to call home everytime it start's

Hello Andrew, I see you have added this application to the database and just now I read your posting concerning Photoscape. kesha I did not keep any information about this. All I remember is that you have to disable the creation of a cache database because this is not saved in the application folder but every folder you browse kesha will be messed up with these files. I don't know if this behaviour can be changed. In local settings/application data i found a log file.

Q3 guidance a key focus, reflecting the success of future product launch.
Youku (NYSE: YOKU ) will report 2Q14 results on Tuesday with consensus expecting -$0.34 EPS (vs. -$0.63 a year ago) and $981m in revenue (+30% y/y). After an in-line Q1 and disappointing guidance, YOKU's shares have tumbled 22% over the past four months. Evidently, the market is concerned over the competition from Baidu (NASDAQ: BIDU ) whose iQiyi and PPS are gaining momentum in terms of both user base and time spent, selena gomez rising content cost and a mild ad environment. Given that much of the negativity has baked into the price, any improvement in both financial metric and/or outlook could be a positive catalyst for the stock, in my view.
At the end of Q1, YOKU's mobile monetization accounted selena gomez for a third of its total revenue, vs. only 10% in 4Q13. The new bundled pricing that encourages selena gomez advertisers to use multiple screens may have helped mobile revenue contribution. According to management, mobile monetization has reached 50% in May. Time spent on YOKU mobile has also seen steady ramp up, which should further attract mobile advertisers.
Mobile monetization will continue to grow in significance as PC time spent shifts to mobile. Although it is worth to mention that the PC engagement level seems to have stabilized in Q2, which is encouraging since Baidu no longer conducts business with YOKU on the PC side. However, competitive risk remains as Baidu's iQiyi and PPS both continue to extend their lead over YOKU in terms of time spent and users since becoming selena gomez China's most popular video site last quarter. selena gomez
Q2 results could come within expectations but the market will likely to place a greater emphasis on the guidance for 2H14 when YOKU is expected to monetize its live broadcasting unit, Xingmeng that operates similarly to YY (NASDAQ: YY ). Under the Xingmeng platform, YOKU users could purchase virtual items to the performers and it could generate incremental revenue growth for YOKU. However, I am skeptical that Xingmeng could become a relevant competitor to YY given that the latter's first mover advantage and that YY performers are unlikely to switch to a competing platform that require them to accumulate their fan base from zero base.
In short, I believe that much of the negative sentiment has already factored into the stock price and it would be a good time for investors to be constructive on the name should there be any positive surprises. I continue to have to a positive bias on YOKU in that the company is attractive as a stand-alone unit that continues to consolidate the online video space, or as an acquisition target for larger players such as Alibaba selena gomez (Pending: BABA ) or Baidu that are looking to gain larger scale in online video. selena gomez

Q2 2014 Results Earnings Conference Call
At this time all participants are in a listen-mode. There will be a presentation followed by a question-and-answer session (Operator Instructions). I must advise you that this conference is being recorded today, Wednesday the 20 th of August 2014.
First of all, I would like to introduce our management team on this call. They are Chairman and CEO, Victor panet Koo; our Board Director and President, Dele Liu, and Michael Xu, our Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President.
Regarding today's agenda, Victor will begin with a strategic outlook of Youku Tudou and an overview of the performance in Q2 of this year. Dele will cover our business operations and content strategy and Michael will discuss second quarter financials, after which we will take your questions.

Thank you, Ryan. Good morning and good evening everyone. Thank you for joining us. I am happy to inform you that there are exciting new developments at Youku Tudou, which are generating the momentum necessary to capitalize on new market opportunities.
Today, technological changes are creating new markets for all Internet companies and Youku Tudou is in a strategic position panet to capture growing opportunities in the Chinese media and entertainment sector. Furthermore, changes are accelerating as markets are converging, as boundaries between the online and offline worlds are disappearing.
We believe that 2013 and 2014 will be seen as the period when the Chinese Internet entered into the multi-screen age that is driving these changes. This new era has significantly broadened Youku Tudou s market scope and our business model has dramatically expanded.
As such, we are in the process of enhancing our product offering, strengthening our core competencies and diversifying our business operations. Our fundamental approach is to make long-term investments in order to build a multi-screen media and entertainment ecosystem.
We believe that the online video space, along with the entire Internet space in China is going through a period of inflection. There has been three inflection points over the last 20 years of Chinese Internet. During 1997-1998, period we saw the birth of the first generation of consumer Internet companies in China, as fixed line Internet grew. In 2005 and 2006 a new wave of innovation was driven by the acceleration of both the broadband penetration across China.
Recently in 2013-2014 due to the rise of mobile Internet and Internet enabled devices, multi screen Internet has become increasingly screen. There were new and expanded market opportunities after each inflection point, panet with each one bigger panet than the last.
In this historical context, the online video landscape in China has changed fundamentally panet in the past year. Back in 2005-2006 when Tudou and Youku were founded, we saw the inflection point with the opportunity to build the leading PC based video website. Our pro-active investment during panet that window has allowed panet us to reach a point where we now penetrate over 80% of the PC Internet population in China.
In 2013 and 2014, although the multi-screen era is still in the nascent stage, we have entered into another growth and investment period as we have moved into a multi-screen video content distribution and creation panet platform.
The latest CNNIC report shows that the mobile Internet population in China has already surpassed the PC Internet population, with video representing one of the most used applications on mobile Internet. With the rapid growth of Internet users in China bringing online video into a new paradigm, the market scale we first envisioned as an online video website back in 2006 has grown significantly.
Concurrently the penetration of Internet enabled devices across China is also changing the habits of Chinese people in regards panet to how they consume content and they are now demanding more diverse genres panet of content, not only traditional TV dramas panet and variety shows. All of these transformations represent tremendous opportunities, but at the same time our product content and business model must adapt to the new landscape.
Ahead of this trend, Youku Tudou anticipated these changes and made early investments in multi-screen product and original content offerings.
